Absage der JEM Pirat 2020
Nach sorgfältiger Überlegung müssen wir euch leider informieren, dass der Lübecker Segler-Verein von 1885 e.V., die Deutsche Piraten-Klassenvereinigung und die EUROSAF die Entscheidung getroffen haben, die Junior European Championship, welche vom 26. bis zum 31. Juli 2020 am Ratzeburger See in Deutschland stattfinden sollte, abzusagen.
An erster Stelle steht für uns die Sicherheit und Gesundheit der Gast-Segler, sowie natürlich unserer Mitglieder und Helfer. Die derzeitige Situation rund um die Corona-Pandemie lässt die Ausrichtung einer europäischen Meisterschaft als nicht durchführbar erscheinen und lässt uns somit derzeit nur diese Lösung. Die weitere Entwicklung von Schutzmaßnahmen in Deutschland ist zurzeit noch nicht absehbar. Zudem gehen wir aktuell nicht davon aus, dass alle Segler aus anderen europäischen Staaten im Juli bereits wieder die Möglichkeit der Ausreise haben werden.
Wie eingangs erwähnt ist für uns als Ausrichter und Veranstalter die Gesundheit unserer Seglerinnen und Segler, sowie die Fairness einer solchen Veranstaltung vorrangig. Wir bitten, um Euer Verständnis für die Absage der Veranstaltung und hoffen, euch als jugendliche Piratensegler in den nächsten Jahren zu einer Meisterschaft am Ratzeburger See begrüßen zu können.

Cancellation of EUROSAF Pirat Junior European Championship 2020
After careful consideration we regret to inform you that the Lübecker Segler-Verein von 1885 e.V., the German Pirat class association and the EUROSAF, have taken the decision to cancel the Junior European Championship to be held at the Ratzeburger See, Germany, from 26th to 31st of July 2020.
Our primary concern is always the safety and well-being of the guest sailors and of course our members and volunteers. Due to present situation around the Covid 19-virus the cancelling of the European championship is the only viable course of action we can see at this time as it is more than unlikely that it will be possible to hold a championship in the present circumstances at all. It is not possible to foresee which future security measurements will be taken in Germany in the next weeks and months. Furthermore, we have to assume, that sailors from other European states will be not able to participate due to travel restrictions.
As mentioned before, for us as organizer of the championship the well-being of the sailors as well as the fairness of such event is the primary concern. We hope that you can understand our decision, which has not been taken lightly, and are looking forward to hopefully seeing you in the next years for a championship at our Ratzeburger See.
